We’re excited to share that Luna y Sol Cafe was featured in the Arizona Daily Star.

The feature highlights Selina and Abraham Barajas’s journey to bring a coffee shop to South Tucson, a city Selina’s family has called home for generations. The building at 137 W. 29th Street has its own history too: it started as a tire shop, later became a music and video store, and most recently was Balloon Land, a party supply store. Its former owner said she wanted to sell to someone who would stay rooted in the community and give back, and found that in Selina.

For Selina and Abraham, Luna y Sol Cafe is about more than coffee. It’s a way to invest in the neighborhood they grew up in and create a space for South Tucson to gather, connect, and be seen.
